I was having a conversation with someone sometime ago and out of nowhere she asked. Where do you get inspiration to write some of the things you put on your blog.

I smiled and simply replied by saying .. “When I get inspired to write, I just write” It was a thought-provoking question to me, because I know how hard it could be sometimes to get inspiration to write a simple blog post.

No matter how much you love writing, there will always be days when you’ll have the writer’s block.

For me, the struggle is real, I pick up my journal and want to write but I can’t seem to find inspiration on what to write about.

As a writer you need inspiration to produce good content for your readers and  even for yourself.

So Here are some simple ways to get inspiration as a writer.

I get inspired by everything and anything, one time it was a church program like I shared here another time it was a question someone asked me, which I wrote about here.

Taking down notes as a writer is very important, whenever an idea pops it’s head, get hold of the nearest note taking equipment and Record your thoughts,
so you don’t forget. You can always elaborate on the notes you’ve scribbled down,  much Later.

Writers are good listeners and critical thinkers. Make this work for you. You could get inspiration from conversations.

Read!! You could get inspiration from books. A single line, a phrase or even a book title could inspire you to write. Get creative 😀

Be observant. Always soak in what happens around you with your eyes, your ears and your mind… Meditate.

Blogs!! Reading blogs also have been supper helpful to me as a writer. There’s a blog on literally every subject under the sun, on the Internet..explore 😎

I also get inspired by my experiences. Life experiences is  definitely one simple way to get inspiration as a writer!!
