Monday motivation

Daily motivation! It’s so hard to motivate myself each day!

It’s so hard to motivate myself each day, to do the things I want to do!

OK, Raise your hand if this sounds like you. I’m raising my hand. I’m not perfect. I can procrastinate for Africa, I can procrastinate till the cows come home, what can I say?
staying motivated each day is not an easy walkover,
You wake up each day, You write a to-do list… but then you don’t follow through.

And this happens again and again and again. Seriously, what’s the problem?
How did you somehow miss out on this very essential human quality 🙁

Don’t be so hard on yourself, trust me, Laziness is no stranger to us all. Even the most productive people have sneaky ways to be lazy if they let themselves.

But, as much as we all know and agree that it’s so hard to stay motivated and it’s in fact a daily struggle, we can’t just sit and let the relentless drift of events determine our lives. No way!!! Not ever!!!

So here’s what I do,
It’s so hard to motivate myself each day, but…

I draw encouragement from people around me. When you Surround yourself with people you want to be, it’s far less taxing to do what you should be doing.

Also, Have a goal and clear objective written down and always remind yourself why you started. I tell you, it is so hard to motivate yourself when you don’t have a defined goal!
So, Let’s get those goals clearly stated out, shall we?

And then you will also need to….
Reduce the daily distractions. Try to Stay focused.
Uninstall an app,
Delete a social media account,
Put your phone on Silent mode,
If it comes down to that.
I’m just saying
Whatever works best for you, just do it!

Remind yourself of where you are coming from. compare where you are to where you used to be. You’ve come along way, haven’t you? Cos I have, and I’m thankful!

Have healthy Competitions with yourself or a friend. Just that element of competition tends to liven things up. you can also add a small prize for extra motivation. When I started learning to read books as a child, my dad use to give me prizes for any book I finished reading and it really beefed up my interest in reading.

Finally …. celebrate your little achievements! Woo-hoo!!
I am so good at celebrating my little victories!
maybe it’s because I’m an optimist, I don’t know but, every little milestone means a lot to me.
It gives me a reason to try again and again.
